Clean-up campaign backed by chambers
Trinity Standard , July 2007
TRINITY – A campaign to encourage county businesses to “spruce up, clean up and paint their store fronts” is being sponsored by both the Trinity Peninsula Chamber of Commerce (TPCC) and the Trinity County Chamber of Commerce (TCCOC).
The “Keep Trinity County Cities Clean & Beautiful” campaign was launched in a joint news release from Bill Fogle, president of the Trinity-based TPCC and Paul Snyder, president of the Groveton-based TCCOC.
“Patterned after Keep Trinity County Beautiful, we’d like to see partnerships between Trinity and Groveton grow and make our respective communities a place people would want to stop and shop, meet and eat,” Fogle and Snyder said in the joint statement.
Both urged local merchants to state today by pulling down old signage, power washing dirty walls and painting store fronts or exposed walls with clean, bright and beautiful colors.
“We can make shopping and visiting Trinity County a fun time experience,” they said.
“If anyone has any idea on how to make their favorite place to shop a good experience, talk to the owners. We’re sure they’d like to have you ‘shop til you drop’ in their place of business,” Fogle and Snyder said.
“If anyone has anything to contribute to our clean and beautiful cities, please call the Trinity Peninsula Chamber of Commerce at 594-3856 or the Trinity County Chamber of Commerce at 642-1715.”
The TPCC directors meet on the first Thursday of each month at oon at the chamber officer at 702 S. Robb or the Trinity Café. The public is welcome to attend.
The TCCOC directors meet on the first Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. and for their Second Tuesday Breakfast Meeting at 7 a.m. Both events are held at the Senior Citizens Center on the square in Groveton. Visitors are welcome to both events.
