TRINITY – The Trinity Independent School District will once again play host to a district School Art Program show for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
The annual event will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9, in the Trinity High School library. The public is invited to visit the show and view the work of artists from the Trinity, Madisonville, Big Sandy and Woodville school systems.
The local display will include student artwork from Trinity High School, Trinity Middle School and Lansberry Elementary School.
According to THS Art Teach Marti Colvin, the Trinity art show has been awarded the prestigious Super Show Award for the past four years.
“The School Art Committee of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo presents Super Show Awards to district that score highest in several judged categories pertaining to the overall quality of the show,” Colvin said.
Top exhibits from the Trinity show will be displayed at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo’ Hayloft Gallery during the upcoming rodeo scheduled for March 3-22.
“The students have been working hard this year to put on another great show for the community and we hope you will mark your calendars to view and appreciate their talent and accomplishments,” Colvin added.
