Burl Shotwell Jr. was born on December 10, 1949, to Lula Mae (Gasket) and William Burl Shotwell in Livingston, Texas. He passed from this life on February 8, 2025, in Lufkin, Texas, at the age of 75.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tomy Geane Shotwell; stepchildren, Tina Denton, Melissa Waldrep and Kenneth Waldrep and wife Cheryl; sisters, Shirley Nicholson and Elizabeth Shires and husband James; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; as well as many other loved ones and friends.
Burl is preceded in death by his parents; brother, J.W. Shotwell; and sister, Winnie Saxton.
A celebration of Burl’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Pace Funeral Home, in Livingston, Texas with Pastor Bobby Conner officiating.
