Jeanet Bruning Iles, 76, of Anahuac, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2026, in Pasadena. Jeanet was born August 12, 1949, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to parents Jospeh and Margaret Miller Bruning.
A former resident of Livingston, she had resided in Anahuac for the past three years. She was a graduate of LaGrange High School, received her degree in education from McNeese State University, and was a retired teacher with 35-year tenure with schools in Louisiana and Livingston ISD. Jeanet held membership at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and was a founder and member of the Livingston Area Community Band. She also enjoyed crafting, writing children’s stories, quilting, and playing the clarinet. Her family will cherish the memories of her being a loving mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Iles was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bizmark Bruning. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Bill Iles; daughter, Jenny Iles; brother, Joseph W. Bruning and wife Shirely; sister, Mary Wagnon McManus and husband Walter; granddaughters, Adeline and Ella Davis; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Livingston.
