Defense was a problem for the Bulldogs Tuesday night, dropping a district contest to West Sabine 12-2 in six innings.

The season has been a positive one before Tuesday’s game, as the ‘Dogs won their district opener and have beaten larger schools in non-district play.

The Bulldogs put pressure on, as Will Ratliff walked and moved up on an error. He would later score on a wild pitch.

The other run for the home team came when Mason Murphy was hit by a pitch and was sacrificed over. Michael Murphy would later drive him in with an RBI-triple.

West Sabine compiled big innings in the win. The Tigers scored three in the first inning, four in the fourth and five in the sixth. The Bulldogs threatened in the bottom half of the sixth, but couldn't continue the game by scoring a run.
