Corrigan-Camden baseball has struggled to score runs, but a shake up in the batting order produced the desired result as the Bulldogs took a 15-5 victory over Hemphill.
Hemphill led 5-2 going into the bottom of fifth, when the bats for the Bulldogs began to heat up. Cooper Kilgore led off with a triple and survived a hit by a pitch later in the inning allowing him to score twice in the inning. Kreek Johnson added a single and run scored. Layton Cox had a single and run scored. Braylon Levy had a base on balls and scored. Mason Murphy took base on balls and crossed home plate. Blake Elam singled and later scored. Mikey Murphy drew a walk and would score.
The runs allowed the Bulldogs to pull in front 10-5. In the bottom of the sixth, an error put Mason Murphy on. Elam followed with a single. A walk, hit by pitch and another base on balls loaded the bags. Cox followed with the game-clinching triple, putting the Bulldogs up by 10.
The victory moves the Bulldog district record to 2-2.
