Coldspring-Oakhurst softball scored in bunches Tuesday, defeating Onalaska 10-0 in San Jacinto County.
The game held significance in the standings, as Onalaska could have moved into third place with a sweep.
Coldspring’s Jasper Williams got the scoring started, delivering a three-RBI base hit with the bags loaded in the second, and a bad throw sent her to third base. An RBI single by Olivia Lee put the Lady Trojans up 4-0.
They reloaded in the third inning, scoring off a fielder’s choice, put in play by Ciara Phillips. An RBI single by Williams and an error on a pop fly scored two more. Lee produced an RBI single to put Coldspring up 8-0 after three frames. Two more runs would later deliver the win for the home team.
