Born in Lexington, Kentucky on January 24, 1961, Rocky grew up with strong roots in the Bluegrass State before settling in Livingston, Texas. He was the proud son of Donald Ray Langston and Janice Brady Langston.

Rocky is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Terresa Watts Langston; his two beloved sons, Brady Langston and wife Christy, and Will Langston; father and mother-in-law, Emory and LaJoyce Watts; his sisters, Andra Gyor and husband Dave, and Leigha Gillespie; brother-in-law, Rodney Watts and wife Kelly, sister-in-law, Jennifer Watts; his cherished niece, Brittany Gaston and husband Brandon; nephews, Lain Wilson, Langston Wilson, Ryan Watts and wife Bailee, Parker Gillespie, Hayden Lynch, and Collin Lynch; great-nieces McKenzie Gaston and Lilah Watts; great-nephew, Hayden Gaston; and two grandsons, John Green and Mikell Green II along with numerous friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Emory Watts Jr.

Rocky dedicated 35 years of service to Eastex Telephone Co-op before retiring, but his work never stopped. Rocky lived a life of service. He volunteered at Mannafest, Center of Hope, he mentored and supported youth through basketball and baseball programs. He was a member of the Men’s Golf Association, Polk County Go Texan Committee, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Committee and a proud member of First Methodist Church in Livingston. He was deeply respected and admired for his unwavering compassion and generosity. Rocky never walked into a room without striking up a conversation – he had a magnetic personality and a gift for making others feel seen and valued.

A true Kentucky Wildcat through and through, Rocky had an undying love for Kentucky basketball and football. His passion extended to the golf course, where he loved both playing and watching the game. A devoted classic rock and roll fan, Rocky found joy in music that matched his spirit – genuine, heartfelt and full of soul.

He was known for his competitive nature, especially when it came to a lively game of 42. Yet, at his core, Rocky was a gentleman who loved deeply, laughed often and lived life to the fullest. His greatest joy came from time spent with family and friends, especially during vacations, celebrations or quiet evenings at home. His family was his world, and he made sure they knew it every day.

A visitation will be held at 3 p.m. today, Sunday, June 22, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Livingston, Texas, followed by a service at 5 p.m. A celebration of life will take place afterward at the Langston residence, where stories, laughter and memories will be shared in his honor.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation – a cause close to their hearts. Donations for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation may be made here: https://give.cff.org/tribute/rockylangston.

Rocky’s spirit, warmth and laughter will be missed by many, but his memory will continue to shine in every life he touched.
