Edward Bruce Guerrant was born on October 30, 1946, to Betty Lichenstein Guerrant and Archie Moore Guerrant at Jefferson Davis Hospital in Houston, Texas. He spent the first three years of his life with his great-grandmother Nancy Cartwright, also of Houston, as his parents divorced soon after his birth. However, his mother married William Lee Job, also of Houston, Texas, in November 1949, and a new family was created, as Edward soon saw the birth of three brothers – Sam, Billy and Jimmy.
The family moved to Tyler County in 1954 where Edward lived until graduation from Kirby High School in Woodville in 1964. He studied at Stephen F. Austin College in Nacogdoches before meeting his wife of 42 years, Brenda Crawford of Lake Jackson, Texas, who he married on October 16, 1971.
Brenda departed this world 10 days after their 41st anniversary, leaving Edward a widower until his passing. Edward is survived by his three brothers, three children, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Edward moved to and resided in Livingston, Texas in 2021 until his death April 24, 2025.
