Eileen Sibyl Sanders, born on Sept. 17, 1945 in Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025 in Houston, Texas. She was 79 years old.
Eileen lived a life rooted in faith and family. A woman of deep Christian belief, her unwavering devotion to God was a guiding light throughout her life. Her spiritual strength provided comfort and inspiration to those around her.
One of the most beautiful chapters of Eileen’s life was the 37 years she shared with her beloved husband, Larry J. Sanders. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter and unwavering devotion. Through every high and low, their bond remained a steady example of commitment and partnership. Their marriage was more than a union – it was a friendship, a shared dream, and a deep, abiding love that stood the test of time.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, son Robert Walters and his wife Denise; daughter Michellyn Walters; son Jacob Walters; son Toby Walters and his wife Cecilia; daughter Shelley Buck and her husband Jim; and daughter Stacie Beall. Eileen’s legacy continues through her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life.
Eileen found happiness in the simple pleasures of the world around her. She had a deep love for the outdoors and spent countless hours tending to her garden, nurturing both plants and peace. Traveling brought her new experiences and memories that she cherished dearly. Her affection for animals was evident in the way she cared for her beloved fur babies, who were constant companions throughout the years.
Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind and serve as a reminder of a life lived with grace, love and faith.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on July 28, 2025 at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston. Pallbearers were Robert Walters, Logan Walters, Stephen Brewer, Terry Meyers, Steven Steiger and Larry Joslin
