Gloria Marylou Richardson, who was born on June 9, 1935, in Livingston, Texas, to Johnny E. and Sarah Alice (Collins) Dowden, peacefully passed away on October 23, 2024, in Livingston, Texas, at the age of 89.
Gloria touched the hearts of all who crossed paths with her through her acts of kindness and generosity. Her love for family and faith in God defined her life. Gloria will be deeply missed, but her faith in God gives her family comfort of knowing she is in the arms of the Lord. She is survived by her children, Cecil Richardson and wife Cindy, and Glenda Williams and husband Riley; sister, Lois McNabb; grandchildren, Jason Richardson, Stephanie Cooksey, Joshua Richardson, Jessica Duncan, Rebecca Blickley, and Hailey Davison; 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; as well as many other loved ones.
Gloria is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Robert Glendon Richardson; son, Carl Richardson; and brothers, Edward Dowden and J.T. Dowden. A visitation for Gloria was held from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. A celebration of Gloria’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Brother Billy Brockin officiating. Interment is to follow at Holly Grove Cemetery, in Livingston, Texas.
