The Goodrich girls continued their winning ways, taking down Leggett 37-27 on the south side of Polk County Tuesday night.

The win in the final regular season game keeps the Lady Hornets in second place, but Leggett has been eliminated from playoff possibilities. Leggett had won the first match between the two in Dudley Dickens Gymnasium.

The Lady Pirates were able to keep pace most of the contest with their outside shooting. More than half of their scoring output was from 3-pointers, with five made shots beyond the arc.

Goodrich led for most of the game, but pulled away in the second half. They received scoring contributions from Tamia Figgs with a dozen points, Liseidy Balbuena eight, Aaliyah Wright with seven, Tanyreauna Criswell five, and Natalie Norris four.

Minneah Williams led all scores with 19 for the Lady Pirates, while Bianca Perkins had seven.
