Grant application on agenda

During its regular meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday, the Onalaska City Council will consider action on a resolution authorizing the Texas Community Development Block Grant Program application on behalf of the city for the community development fund.

This application will be submitted to the Texas Department of Agriculture and entered into competition for funding, including the city’s commitment to provide $37,500 in matching funds for the activities outlined in the application.

A memorandum of understanding between the SPCA of Polk County, Texas and the City of Onalaska will be considered for approval.

An interlocal road maintenance agreement between Polk County and the City of Onalaska will be considered for approval.

Council will consider the appointment of a review committee for the purpose of determining the criteria to select and rate administrative and engineering service providers for the GLO CDR-DRRP.

A policy regarding covered applications and prohibited technology will be considered for approval.

Council will consider approval of Joshua Jenkins as a reserve police officer.

Reports will be presented on behalf of the police department, fire department, fire marshal/fire inspector, building inspector/code enforcement officer and library representative.

Other items on the agenda include approval of the minutes, payment of vouchers and financial reports.
