Jimmy Joe Ingram of Livingston Texas was born June 16, 1938, and passed away at the age of 86 on November 16, 2024, at home with his family by his side after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Jim was born in Nevada, Arkansas to parents William Owen Ingram and Allene Manning Ingram. As a child, Jim loved football, hunting, fishing, and his dog, Waggy. Jim attended Rankin High Class of 1956. Afterward, with a football scholarship, he attended Cisco Junior College. He went on to enlist in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Germany, returning to reside in Midland, Texas in 1959 working for National Supply Co. It was then that Jim met his beautiful bride to be Mariellen Brown, while out with some buddies. Jim and Mariellen then wed on November 11, 1960, in Midland, Texas and celebrated 64 wonderful years together. Jim worked and traveled between Oklahoma and Texas working in the oil business for many years. He retired in Atascocita, Texas, and then opened a Copy Post and Ship, which they ran together until 2003. In 2004, they both retired to Lake Livingston and have called this home ever since.
Remaining to cherish Jim’s memory are his wife Mariellen Brown Ingram; son, Lesley and wife Lawana Ingram of Wortham, Texas; son, Ryan and wife Kelle Ingram of Pearland, Texas; grandchildren, Destiny, Jonathan, Landry, Holden and Bennett; great grandchildren, Dyson, Dylanie, Kallie and Jennings; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
