Funeral services for John Alan Dickey, 59, of Shepherd, Texas were held Saturday, January 3, 2026 at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Robert Brown officiating. Interment followed at the Farley Chapel Cemetery in Shepherd, Texas. Visitation was held Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas.
Mr. Dickey was born May 15, 1966 in Houston, Texas and passed away on December 29, 2025 in Kingwood, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Dickey and Sonya (Mullinax) Dickey.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Thompson of Shepherd, Texas; son, Christopher Dickey and Frances of Shepherd, Texas; grandsons, Christopher Dickey Jr. and Skyler Brown; brother, Richard Dickey; chosen brothers, Bob Tatum and Renee of Aransas Pass, Texas and Billy Tatum and Julie of Nevada; and chosen mom, Carol Miller of Shepherd, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Donnie Mayfield, Christopher Dickey, Will Harrison, Skyler Brown, Eloise Smith and Cecil Miller.
