Livingston girls basketball is now on to the second round of the playoffs after a 63-20 win over North Forest Monday in Huffman.
The Lady Lions repeatedly used a full-court press to create steals and turnovers, frustrating North Forest ball handlers.
The Lady Bulldogs were held to six points in the first half, leaving little doubt on the game’s outcome.
By comparison, Livingston’s leading scorer was Nyriah Johnson, who had 12 through the same two periods. The team put 38 on the board by halftime.
Playing without rebounder and scoring threat Regan Lewis, as well as defensive specialist Brianaly Resendez, the Lady Lions still had enough for the comfortable victory.
Johnson led with 18 points, while Taylor Wright and Raigen Long had 10 each, and Corinne Henderson and Taleiyah Garner each had eight.
