Lady Bulldog volleyball escaped Coldspring Tuesday night with a 25-16, 25-12, 23-25, 22-25, 15-12 victory, needing to regroup to take the final set.
Corrigan-Camden looked as though they would have no problems in Coldspring Tuesday night. The Bulldogs won their first set after leading by nine on multiple occasions. They then easily won the second set by 13.
Following an intense Coldspring huddle, the Lady Trojans came out in the third and led most of the way. They did the same in the fourth, taking momentum and gaining support from the home crowd.
A hard fought fifth set was tied at 11 before the Lady Dogs took the lead for good.
"This was an exciting one, we won those first two sets and I thought that maybe we could make it quick," Corrigan-Camden coach Grace Horne said. "They took it to five and we were able to finish."
The coach said she has five seniors this year, and the team looked to continue winning at Lovelady Friday. They face Kennard at home Tuesday.
