A new exhibit celebrating National Native American Heritage Month is on display at the Polk County Memorial Museum. The exhibit features photographs from the Alabama-Coushatta Powwow taken by Victoria and Aaliyah Johnson and celebrates the rich stories, traditions, languages and art of Native Americans. The exhibit will be available for viewing through Nov. 27. The Polk County Memorial Museum is located at 514 W. Mill St. in Livingston. It is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesdays through Fridays and the second and fourth Saturdays. It is closed on all Polk County holidays. There is no charge to visit the museum. COURTESY PHOTO
