James Mostek will be the new human resources director for Polk County effective Dec. 2.
The decision was made following the second round of interviews and following an executive session during a special called meeting of the Polk County Commissioners Court on Monday.
Mostek will fill the vacancy left with the resignation of Fern Caddenhead.
In other business, the Court accepted the canvass of the results of the Nov. 5 General Election.
Of the county’s registered voters, 58.76% voted, resulting in the largest voter turnout ever, Polk County Clerk Schelana Hock said.
