Newest addition at the Holiday Lake Estates Volunteer Fire Department

The newest addition at the Holiday Lake Estates Volunteer Fire Department is a 1992 International pumper tanker, holding 2,250 gallons of water. It traveled about 2,000 miles from South Thomaston, a coastal town in Maine. HLEVFD Fire Chief Arthur West said it has a lot of compartment space, and that it will be used as the station’s engine. The plan is to sell a smaller engine and tanker to then buy a 3,000-gallon tanker. That will set up the department with enough water for one vehicle to fight house fires before additional help arrives.
