Funeral services for Paula Jean Schoenemann, 83, of Corrigan, will be held Friday, November 22, 2024, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Corrigan with Brother Buster Grigg and Brother Charlie Hodge officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Springs Cemetery.

Paula was born February 10, 1941, in Camden, Texas to the late Gladys Saxon and Paul Newton Adams, and died Monday, November 18, 2024, in a local hospice facility.

Paula had resided in Corrigan for most of her life. She was an artist and taught art for 20 years in her at-home studio. Paula enjoyed singing and playing the piano and guitar. She taught Bible study classes at her home and was a member of First Baptist Church Corrigan.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Paulette Yankie and Wayne of Corrigan; sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel Pitre and Shelly of Corrigan and Scott Riley and Stephanie of Orange; four grandchildren, Meagan and Ryan Pendexter, Cole Riley, Tristan and McKennah Riley, and Jake Pitre; two great-grandchildren; and a life-long special friend, Cordelia Gardner of Moscow.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, George Schoenemann.

Pallbearers will be Jake Pitre and Tristan Riley.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6-8 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
