Emmanuel Beaux Sylestine earned top recognition at the 80th annual Trinity-Neches FFA and 4-H Livestock Show and Rodeo held March 28 through April 3 by capturing first place in his class and third overall commercial with his Brangus heifer.
At just nine years old, Sylestine is already making a name for himself in the show ring. He is a third-grade student at Big Sandy Elementary School and an active member of 4-H, where he continues to develop his livestock handling and animal skills.
His interest in showing livestock is rooted in family tradition. Inspired by his mother, aunt, and uncles – who previously competed with heifers at similar events – he chose to showcase a heifer of his own this year.
He is the son of Josh Sylestine and Whitney Tolar and proudly represents the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas. His success at the Trinity-Neches Livestock Show highlights both his dedication and the strong support of his family and community.
The Trinity-Neches Livestock Show and Rodeo brings together youth exhibitors from across the region, celebrating agriculture, education, and leadership development.
Sylestine’s achievement stands as an impressive milestone early in what promises to be a bright future in agricultural competition.
