Corrigan-Camden softball lost a 3-0 lead Tuesday, as West Sabine scored nine runs over four innings for the win.
The game started well for Corrigan-Camden, as K.K. Johnson bunted her way on to first base. She would then steal second base and advance another on an error. Scoring on a wild pitch, the Lady Dogs were up, 1-0.
In the second inning, Addi Platt took a base on balls and she was moved over on a sacrifice grounder by Johnson. Abby Vera slapped an RBI-single, and Skye Six doubled in another run for a 3-0 lead.
West Sabine scored two runs in the top of the third, five more in the fourth, and two in the sixth.
Corrigan-Camden threatened in the third inning with the bases loaded and no one out, but could not push a run across. They did score again in the final frame, as Six singled, Kaylee Garcia doubled and Tori Soto sacrificed herself on a bunt to bring in a run.
