Honoring our heroes — A night with Sundance Head

Posted

COLDSPRING — The San Jacinto County community came together for a heartfelt evening of gratitude and great music at the First Responders Appreciation Meet & Greet, honoring the brave men and women who serve and protect our local communities every day.

Sponsored by Justice of the Peace Randy Ellisor and his wife, Terri, the event brought together first responders from across San Jacinto County and surrounding areas for a night of fellowship, recognition, and entertainment.

Headlining the evening was none other than Sundance Head, a Porter, Texas, native and competitor on Season 11 of “The Voice.” The son of the late rock-and-roll legend Roy Head (“Treat Her Right”), Sundance filled the room with his signature soulful voice and heartfelt performance.

From classic country hits by George Jones to his own original songs, Sundance had the crowd smiling, singing along, and tapping their boots. It was more than a concert; it was a thank you to the first responders who put others before themselves every single day.

To all our local heroes, thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your strength.
