Abbey Ruegamer of San Jacinto County 4-H was named Grand Champion in the Agricultural Public Speaking Contest Junior Division at the 2025 State Fair of Texas. Abbey also earned Champion honors in the Junior Animal Science category.
Her outstanding achievement reflects months of preparation, dedication, and passion for agriculture. Abbey’s success is a proud moment for her family, the San Jacinto County 4-H community, and the entire county. She continues to represent the next generation of leaders who are making a positive impact through 4-H.
Two other San Jacinto County 4-H members won championships at the 2025 State Fair of Texas.
Kimber Calhoun won second-high individual in the Veterinary Science Contest Intermediate Division, and Kinsley Rhodes won Reserve Grand Champion in the Pan-American Livestock Show Brangus Female. Both young ladies represented San Jacinto County 4-H with excellence and pride.
Together with Abbey Ruegamer’s Grand Champion title in Agricultural Public Speaking, these youth highlight the dedication and leadership that define our 4-H community.
