COLDSPRING — A 21-year-old Kyle resident was arrested after contacting an Uber driver and allegedly stealing the vehicle.
Jaylon Bradford, 21, is facing an aggravated robbery charge, a first-degree felony.
According to police reports, on April 4 San Jacinto County Sheriff’s deputies received a report of a carjacking that occurred in the evening on State Highway 156 near Coldspring.
The report states that Bradford arranged for the driver to pick him up in Livingston and drive him to Coldspring.
Then at the destination, the suspect allegedly produced a handgun, forced the Uber driver out of the vehicle, and then drove off.
The vehicle was later recovered in Bastrop County, and an arrest warrant was issued.
On April 28, Bradford was arrested and booked into San Jacinto County jail.
