SHEPHERD — The Shepherd Board of Aldermen approved several lot splits for a property owner.

City Secretary Debra Hagler said that the board approved a lot split for Crystal Contreras for property at 630 S. Railroad Street after providing a survey to the council at the Jan. 13 meeting.

Contreras also was given approval for a separate piece of property, which was done without the requirement of a survey.

In a separate matter, Robert Jessup requested the board determine if his property is within the city limits, and if not, a city limits sign on his property will need to be moved.

Hagler said the city will research the matter.

Also, a city resident gave the board praise for the work that has been done on several different roads and provided a list of other roads to be done.
