County athletes heading toward regional competition

Shepherd and Coldspring track and field athletes showed up and represented with pride at area meets, with several students competing with heart, grit, and determination and earning a spot in the regional tournament.

For Shepherd, Abbey Anderson turned in a third-place finish in the high jump to earn a spot at the regional meet.

For Coldspring, regional qualifiers include Tess Phillips, who claimed first in pole vault; Rigby Bailes, third in pole vault; Camiyah Hines, fourth in triple jump and third in long jump; Abby Murphy, third in 100-meter hurdles; and Ciara Phillips, fourth in 100-meter hurdles.
