COLDSPRING — At the Wednesday meeting of the San Jacinto County Commissioners Court, the Commissioners:
- proclaimed October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
- proclaimed October as Head Start Awareness month.
- approved the 2026 holiday schedule.
- approved the resignation of ESD No. 2 board member Gregory Riley and appointed Alex Chrestopolous to fill the vacancy.
- approved the annual court meeting schedule.
- approved reapplication for proposals for grant administration and engineering work for a 2024 flood grant.
- approved reassigning unused equipment from the Elections Department to other county departments.
- approved a resolution documenting the county’s efforts in complying with the Help America Vote Act.
- approved the use of county property for a community prayer service.
- approved an overlooked bid for road materials.
- approved a bid for replacing copiers from Texas Document Solutions.
- approved changes to documentation to reflect current officeholders.
- approved a lot split in the Vita Flores Survey.
- approved a lot split in the William R. Sanders Survey.
- approved the final plat for the Pine Trail subdivision.
- approved a road use agreement with Trident Kinder Morgan.
- approved the use of county property in Camilla Twin Harbors for a non-profit event.
- approved a change to the county scoring committee to add Commissioner Luke Sweeney.
