COLDSPRING — Despite being unable to help, the San Jacinto County Commissioners Court heard a series of complaints from a county resident at its Wednesday meeting.
Patricia Long told the court that she has filed numerous complaints for nuisances and harassment, only to be told nothing can be done, and in researching the county ordinances, found several laws that were at odds with each other.
However, Commissioner Donnie Marrs said that the court cannot enforce laws, nor can it force other departments to perform their jobs in any manner.
Still, Long demanded the county solve her problems; Marrs offered to sit down with the Sheriff’s Office and get both sides of the story and offer any advice he could.
