COLDSPRING — The San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a suspect wanted for traffic violations after a foot chase led to the man escaping.
Last week, a deputy attempted to stop a four-wheeler for a traffic violation; the male driver refused to stop, eventually abandoning the ATV and running into the woods.
With assistance from Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office K9 units, the suspect was tracked to Sandy Creek Road, where the trail went cold. It is believed the suspect may have been picked up by a vehicle and left the area.
Due to rain and the cold trail, the search was called off. Deputies continue to investigate and follow leads.
The suspect is described as approximately 5 feet 11 tall, with a slender build, buzz-cut sandy blonde hair and wearing a black shirt, black pants, and a black ball cap.
