SHEPHERD — Shepherd Independent School District will continue operating the Community Eligibility Provision under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2026-2027 school year.
Through CEP, Shepherd ISD will provide one reimbursable breakfast and one reimbursable lunch each school day at no charge to every enrolled student, regardless of household income. Families are not required to complete a free or reduced-price meal application for students to receive these meals.
The Community Eligibility Provision reduces administrative burdens for families and school staff while helping ensure that all students have access to nutritious school meals.
Additional meals, individual food items, à la carte items, and other non-reimbursable purchases are not included and may be available for purchase.
For additional information, please contact Lyndsay Guimbellot, Child Nutrition Director, at (936) 628-3396 or email lguimbellot@shepherdisd.net.
