SHEPHERD —The Lady Pirates faced challenges at the foul line during Friday’s district game against the Livingston Lady Lions, eventually coming up short 46-25.
Livingston capitalized on its opportunities, going to the line 13 times for 8 points, while Shepherd struggled with a 1-of-18 showing.
The game started sluggishly for Shepherd, who managed only 2 points in the first quarter and 4 in the second. Meanwhile, Livingston opened strong with 14 points in the first quarter and eased up slightly in the second, scoring 4 points. By halftime, Livingston held a commanding 18-6 lead.
The Lady Pirates found some rhythm in the second half, scoring 9 points in the third quarter and 10 in the fourth.
