SHEPHERD — The Shepherd Lady Pirates continue to battle through one of the toughest 4A districts in the region, showing heart, hustle, and steady improvement each week.
On Oct. 7, the Lady Pirates traveled to Livingston to face the seasoned Lady Lions and, once again, proved that determination matters just as much as the scoreboard.
Although the final sets went to Livingston (25-17, 25-14, 25-8), the Lady Pirates never backed down, pushing through every rally with energy and pride. Shepherd’s juniors and seniors continue to lead by example, guiding a young roster filled with talented freshmen and sophomores who are gaining valuable experience with every match.
The Lady Pirates fell to Tarkington 3-0 on Thursday.
The Lady Trojans went 0-2 on the week with a 3-1 (20-25, 22-25, 25-18, 24-26) to Anderson-Shiro on Oct. 7 and 3-1 loss to New Waverly on Friday.
