COLDSPRING — The excitement is building in Coldspring as the Lady Trojans hit the court for their 2025 Volleyball Camp, which opened on July 15 with an impressive turnout and even bigger ambitions.
Fresh off a record-breaking 2024 season, the Lady Trojans are determined to push even further this year. Last year’s team made history by advancing deeper into the playoffs than any Coldspring volleyball squad ever has — and this year’s players are ready to raise the bar once again.
Senior Ashlynn Holley spoke with confidence about the road ahead: “Last year was an amazing experience. Now, we know what playoff volleyball feels like — and we’re ready for it. There won’t be any surprises this time.”
Coach Dwain Anderson, the architect behind the Lady Trojans’ rising success, is eager to build on last year’s momentum: “We had a phenomenal season with a great record, and this year we’ve got a strong group of seniors leading the charge. We fully expect to get back to the playoffs — but this time, we want to go even further.”
Senior starter Tess Phillips echoed that determination: “Obviously, we want to top what we did last year. Everyone’s fired up to get this season going.”
Holley added, “We’ve had great participation all summer, and we’re ready to get to work. It’s time to show what we can do.”
The Lady Trojans wrapped up last season with an impressive 27-12 overall record and an 8-2 record in district play, with their only district losses coming in tough matchups against Anderson and New Waverly. Coach Anderson made it clear that toppling Anderson to claim the district title outright is at the top of this year’s to-do list.
With a deep bench of talented returners, a battle-tested coaching staff, and a hunger for more playoff glory, the Coldspring Lady Trojans are set to make waves in the 2025 volleyball season.
Fans should mark their calendars — because if last year’s run was historic, this year’s team is ready to write an even bigger chapter in Lady Trojans volleyball history.
