Shepherd Pirate Gage Murphy took a third-place finish at the State Powerlifting Meet in Abilene on Friday. Gage achieved a total weight of 1,765 pounds in his weight class, including a 705-pound squat, a 460-pound bench press and 600-pound dead lift.
