Pirates dominate Buffalo 44-0, improve to 3-0

SHEPHERD — The Shepherd Pirates continued their perfect season Friday night, steamrolling the Buffalo Bison 44-0 in a game that showcased both offensive firepower and defensive dominance.

The opening quarter was slow as the Pirates searched for rhythm, but a few key timeouts and playbook adjustments quickly turned the tide. Once settled in, Shepherd unleashed a relentless attack led by the precision passing of Landen Dellinger and the bruising ground game of Jacory Davis. Together, they kept the Bison defense on its heels and the scoreboard busy.

But it was the Pirate defense that stole the show. Buffalo’s offense was completely smothered, managing virtually no yardage outside of a handful of penalty plays. Every attempt to move the ball through the air was met with tight coverage, tipped passes, and drive-killing interceptions.

Shepherd’s defense limited Buffalo to 112 total yards (79 rushing, 33 passing) and caused 5 turnovers. Kyler Syracuse and Ryan had an interception each, and Eduardo Jaime, Weston Hoffart and Michael Weekes led in tackles.

Brayden White kept constant pressure on Buffalo’s quarterback.

As the second half unfolded, it became clear the Bison had no answers. The Pirates pitched a shutout, a statement win that underscores their season-long mission: this is a team built not only to win, but to contend for a championship.

The Pirate offense posted 326 yards of total offense, 315 of them on the ground. Jacorey Davis led the team with 16 carries for 138 yards and 3 TDs, while Kellyn Husband had 5 carries for 65 yards and a TD, and Diego Orozco had 7 carries for 34 yards and 1 TD.
