A summary of the items discussed at the April 15 Commissioners Court meeting:
— The Court had a discussion on bids for construction on four bids for road repair, one in each of the four precincts, which is to be paid through General Land Office grant funds. The court accepted those bids at the April 1 meeting; however, there was an error in the bid from Texas Materials company, which showed their bid being in billions of dollars instead of millions. The court approved keeping the bid with the corrections that brought it in line with correct pricing, and ultimately awarded bids for repair of Robin Creek Road, Blackberry Lane, and the package of Stagecoach, Saddle and Mine roads to Texas Materials, once the bid numbers were corrected.
— Commissioners approved offers to purchase several lots of land — one for .3952 acres of land at 11 Rocky Creek Road for $8,514 and one for 1.244 acres of land at 251 Rocky Creek Road in Coldspring for $30,000.
— The Court approved a replat of the Ponderosa Estates subdivision after discussion of right of way and setback requirements. Commissioners required a $200,000 bond from the developers.
— Other items discussed include a $16,111.66 fee for engineering that had remained on the books was questioned as it may show up in an audit, as it was attached to a project on Donoho Road that was completed outside of the scope of the grant. The court took no action on the matter. The court also tabled action on abandoning a portion of Harvey-Bryant Road, and approved accepting a $9,480 payment from Express Trucking for repairing County Line Road.
