This achievement highlights the program’s ongoing commitment to career readiness and real-world skill development.

Highlights:

171 students earned industry-based certifications in 2024–2025.

Certifications were earned across three distinct career pathways through the ICEV platform.

These ICEV certifications are in addition to other industry credentials available via alternative platforms and exams.

Students, instructors, and program partners played key roles in supporting this success.

Why this matters

Industry-based certifications validate students’ technical skills and knowledge with recognized credentials employers trust. Earning these certifications while still in high school gives students a competitive advantage for employment, apprenticeships, or continued education. Shepherd CTE’s strong results reflect effective instruction, carefully aligned curricula, and dedicated partnerships with industry-aligned assessment programs.

Voices of celebration

Congratulations to the 171 students who demonstrated hard work and mastery, and to the Shepherd CTE teachers who prepared and supported them. Their efforts translate directly into stronger career pathways and local workforce development.

Looking ahead

Shepherd CTE will continue to expand certification opportunities and partnerships so even more students can graduate with industry-recognized credentials. With programs like ICEV and other certification platforms in place, the district remains focused on equipping students with marketable skills for today’s economy.
