Shepherd High School recently hosted its VU Scholarship Celebration, honoring 24 seniors from the Class of 2026 for the scholarship opportunities they have earned through the VU Scholarship program.
Students were recognized alongside their families, classmates, and school administrators during a special ceremony that celebrated their hard work and academic dedication.
Shepherd ISD partners with VU Scholarships to help streamline scholarship opportunities for students. Through the program, participating seniors opt in to share their information with colleges and universities, which then respond with potential scholarship offers. This allows students to better understand their options and make informed decisions about college and funding.
Participating students received a combined 1,122 scholarship offers, totaling more than $52.4 million in potential funding.
District leaders say the program continues to open doors for Shepherd students and provides meaningful support as they plan for life after graduation. Shepherd ISD congratulates its seniors on this remarkable achievement and looks forward to celebrating their continued success.
