SHEPHRD — On Friday, the Texas Education Agency released accountability ratings for all public schools across the state. Shepherd ISD received an overall rating of D (67). While this is not the optimum result, there are many areas of growth across the campuses and educators remain committed to building on that progress.

Moving forward together
This past spring, SISD partnered with the board, staff, and the community to launch our long-range strategic plan: Every Learner 2030. This plan sets ambitious academic goals for every campus, and we are already taking action to ensure our students achieve them. You can review the plan here: https://bit.ly/EveryLearner2030
While the state accountability system does not capture every measure of success, the district is proud of many accomplishments:
- Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase Awards three years in a row
- Historic UIL Academic wins in grades PK–8
- Record-setting reading and math scores at our primary school
- 17 teachers earning Teacher Incentive Allotments, impacting teacher salaries by more than $320,000 over the past two years
Together, with focus, determination, and community support, the system will continue to improve outcomes for every Shepherd ISD student.
