SHEPHERD — Department of Public Safety Troopers are investigating a two-vehicle crash on Farm-to-Market Road 2025 at the intersection of Farm-to Market Road 2666, south of Coldspring, that occurred Thursday.
Reports indicate that at approximately 7:12 p.m., a 2015 GMC 1500 was traveling north while a 2012 Toyota Camry turning left from FM 2666 onto FM 2025.
The driver of the Toyota failed to yield the right-of-way, pulled into the path of the GMC, and was struck by the GMC, the report states.
The driver of the GMC, 59-year-old Renzy Levias of Coldspring, was transported to HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood for non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Toyota, 79-year-old Paul Pell of Cleveland, was transported to HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood for non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
DPS troopers also investigated a crash on U.S. Highway 59 at the intersection of Loop 424 that occurred Friday.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 11:42 a.m., a 2018 Ford Fusion was traveling south. It is reported that a 2024 Ford F-150 was stopped at the stop sign on Loop 424, facing east, when the driver failed to yield to the Ford Fusion and pulled into its path, where it was struck.
The driver of the Ford Fusion, 40-year-old Byrone Anderson of Marshall, was not injured. His passengers included 36-year-old Courtney Perry, who was not injured, and an 11-year-old and a 10-year-old, who were transported to HCA Houston Healthcare in Cleveland for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Ford F-150, 85-year-old Wesley Kropik of New Caney, was transported to HCA Houston Healthcare in Kingwood for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
