Al Miller died Friday, Oct 11, 2024, at his Trinity home with his family at his side. He was 87 at the time of his death.
Born June 25, 1937, in Duluth, Minn., to Raymond Gilbert and Lillian June Miller. He had two sisters, Donna and Patricia, and a brother, Donald. Al was blessed with seven children — four daughters and three sons.
Al was a true patriot and proudly served in the U.S. Army between 1954-1957. On Jan. 13, 1967, Al married the love of his life, Judy Anderson.
Al was blessed with seven children — four girls and three boys — Tina, Dawn, LeAnn, Bruce, Janet, Pete and Donny.
As an avid golfer and sports fanatic, you could always count on his TV to be tuned in to a game. He and Judy worked together in the food service industry and opened several successful restaurants throughout Texas. Al was someone you could always count on in a time of need; pitching in wherever needed in his community.
Al is survived by his children, Tina Rae, Leigh Ann, Bruce Edward, Janet Lea, Allan Lee Jr., and Donald Raymond, and will be deeply missed by an army of bonus children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Judy Louise, his brother Donald, two sisters, Donna and Patricia, and daughter Dawn.
Allan will lie in state Thursday, Oct. 17, from noon until 4 p.m. at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, La Cygne Chapel. Funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, Oct. 18, at the La Cygne Chapel. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to service time at the La Cygne Chapel.
