Funeral services for Billy Singletary, 91, of Corrigan were held Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 2 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Corrigan Chapel with Brother Reagan Duncan and Brother Keith Loving officiating. Interment followed in the Union Springs Cemetery.
Billy was born May 20, 1933, in Reagan, Texas to the late Arthur Francis Singletary and Mary Etta (Wallace) and died Wednesday, January 1, 2025, in his residence.
Billy had resided in Corrigan for 37 years. He ran his own business and would always be seen driving his dump truck hauling rock and dirt.
Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Margaret and Randy Arsement and Debra Dockens, both of Channelview, and Patty Arnold of Corrigan; sons and daughters-in-law, Clayton and Sharon Singletary of Oakhill and Leonard and Deborah Singletary of Corrigan; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Martha Singletary; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three brothers; and one sister.
Pallbearers were Billy Glen Caywood, Brent Caywood, Shelby Chavers, Colton Chavers, Stephen Chavers, Donnie Cathey, and Josh Cathey.
The family welcomed friends and loved ones from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
