Both Yellowjacket boys and girls basketball teams hosted Brookeland in a district game on Friday, Jan. 3.
The Lady Jackets started the night off coming up short despite the Lady Jackets best efforts. Kyli Handley scored 9, Ty Cochran and Carlen Sluga each scored two, and Tegan Toler scored one.
The Yellowjacket boys team also came out on the losing end of the matchup. Kasen Citrano led with 25 points, Jesse Bittick scored 6, Bryson Swanson hit a three-pointer, and Hunter Luther ended with two points.
This week the Jackets will travel to High Island on Jan. 7, and will host Burkeville at JP Johnson Gymnasium on Friday, Jan. 10 with a 5 p.m. tip-off time.
