Danny Ray “Critter” Crittenden, Sr., 72, of Warren, passed away at his home on Friday, December 27, 2024.

Visitation began at 1 P.M. until 2 P.M service time on Monday, December 30, 2024 at Jesus Name Apostolic Tabernacle in Warren with burial following in Baker-Bell Cemetery in Warren. Officiating will be Reverend Richard Perry.  Serving as pallbearers will be Kenny Adkins, Dan Crittenden, Jr., Tommy Crittenden, Bret Murray, Buddy Welch, Tyler Crittenden, Caleb Crittenden, and Troy Murray. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Uzzle, Joe Adkins, Dylan Perry, Chase Perry, Coby Brewer, C.J. Anderson, Brady Warren, Evan Crittenden, Noah Crittenden, and Scotty Adkins.

Danny was born October 19, 1952 to Charles Thomas and Gladys Thelma Murray Crittenden in Union City, Tennessee and was raised in Hickman, Kentucky. He was a longtime resident of Warren. He retired as a long time truckdriver. He was a hard worker and a simple man who loved his family. He was a member of Jesus Name Apostolic Tabernacle in Warren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Thomas Crittenden; a brother, Thomas Crittenden; 4 sisters, Linda Hall, Ann McClure, Peggy Gilkey, Martha Fay Crittenden, a daughter he never knew but loved so much, Chele; his in-laws, L.C. & Alene Yawn; brother-in-law, “Brother” Ray Quinn.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sandra Crittenden of Warren, TX; mother, Gladys Crittenden of Hickman, KY; sons, Kenny Adkins and wife, Marie of Pass Christian, MS, Danny Ray Crittenden, Jr. and wife, Holly of Newbern, TN, Thomas Crittenden and wife, Angie of Rosenberg, TX, and Bret Murray of Houston, TX, sisters, Joyce Quinn of Gainesville, TX and Vicki Quinn and husband, Tony of Hickman, KY; brother-in-law, Harold Yawn and wife, Kim; grandchildren, Mariah, Sommer, Madison, Journey, Joe, Hailey, Evan, Noah, Tyler, Karli, Caleb, Bailey, Buddy, Troy, Christopher, Emily, C.J., Breatt, and Coby; great-grandchildren, Wesley, Hadilynn, Bradley, Dalton, Lynlie, Ari, Gio, Adlee, Addison, and Asher.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital at 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
