Janis Holt appointed to key House committees

AUSTIN — State Rep. Janis Holt, R-District 18, has been placed on two House committees: Homeland Security, Public Safety & Veterans’ Affairs and Pensions, Investments & Financial Services. These assignments reflect her dedication to ensuring the safety, security, and financial well-being of all Texans.

Holt expressed her enthusiasm for the new roles, stating, “I am honored to serve on these critical committees. My focus will be on enhancing public safety, supporting our veterans, and ensuring robust financial systems that benefit all Texans.”

As a member of the Homeland Security, Public Safety & Veterans’ Affairs Committee, Holt will work on legislation aimed at protecting communities, supporting first responders, and addressing the needs of veterans.

A key focus will be addressing the challenges posed by Colony Ridge and the impact of illegal immigration on local communities. Representative Holt is dedicated to finding solutions that enhance security and improve the quality of life for her constituents.

In the Pensions, Investments & Financial Services Committee, Holt will advocate for policies that promote financial stability and growth. She aims to ensure that Texas’ pension systems are secure and that investments are managed prudently to benefit current and future generations.

• Holt has opened a District Office in Liberty at Liberty Central, 1023 N. Main St. Suite 103. This office will serve as a resource for constituents across House District 18, ensuring that their voices are heard, and their concerns addressed.

“Our goal is to be present in every part of District 18 and provide accessible, responsive service to the community,” Holt said. “This office is here to assist constituents, answer questions, and ensure that state government is working for the people.”
