The Lady Eagles dominated the court last week, moving their record to 7-6 for the season.

On Sept. 17, Laneville came to Apple Springs, and the Lady Eagles won in 3 sets, 25-15, 25-5, 25-5.

Head Coach Denise Browning said the outstanding showing by Jade Aycock, Lauren Lankford, Faith Smith, and Abrie McWhorter at the service line led to the victory.

On Friday, Apple Springs traveled to Trinity and beat them in 5 sets.

The Lady Eagles lost the first set in a heartbreaker 24-26, won the second 25-18, lost the third 19-25, and battled to win the fourth and fifth 25-16 and 25-11.

Browning said all of the Lady Eagles played a great game, including Lauren Lankford and Brooke Brister, who took care of business with many blocks and kills in the middle; Katy Davis had multiple kills and aces finding the gaps in their defense; Jade Aycock and Sophie Oldham made some great digs to keep the offense moving; and Abrie McWhorter worked hard at the setter position with many assists.
