SHEPHERD — The Livingston Lady Lions came away with three wins from host Shepherd Lady Pirates.

The first game was close, showing potential for the Lady Pirates to advance. However, the score was in favor of the Lady Lions 25-23. The Lady Pirates clearly lost their focus in the second match with only a score of 8 points to Livingston’s 25. With the third and final set going to the Lady Lions with a score of 25-15, it gave the win to Livingston.

Head Coach Ashley Brockner said it was the first district match of the season, and despite Shepherd coming out fired up in the first set, Livingston continued to pull ahead and win the match.

Chloe Fuller was player of the game for her hustle and energy on the court throughout the match, she said.

Nevaeh Murphy had 1 ace during service while Jazilyn Richardson had 3 and Collie Dean 1. Addison Kowis had 1 block while Jayci Wilson had 2, Faith Montgomery 2 and Callie Dean 3.
