Maria D. Martinez was born on November 16, 1954, to Pedro Campos Martinez and Catalina Tristan Leos, in Cd. Del Maiz SLP, Mexico. She passed away on April 1, 2025, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 70.
Maria is survived by her loving husband, Santiago Martinez; children, Eva Dominguez and husband Luis, Abiel Martinez and wife Carmen, Misael Martinez and wife Lori; siblings, Reyna Campos Tristan and husband Juan Flores, Marino Campos Tristan, Basilia Campos Tristan, Juana Campos Tristan, Veda Campos Tristan, Zenaido Campos Tristan; grandchildren, Mykal (Tator), Elijah (Cookie), Nadia, Whitney, Abram, Jake, Ezekiel, Elexa, Jaslenne, Angelina, Bradley, Jaycen, Blaze, Mateo and Ada; and great-granddaughter, Brynn; as well as many other loved ones and a host of friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Pedro Campos and Catalina Tristan, and sister, Senorina Campos Tristan.
A visitation was held from 5-9 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025, at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with a rosary beginning at 8 p.m. with Rosario Garcia leading.
A funeral mass was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Livingston, Texas with Fr. Paul Kahan Officiating. 193
